Moonfest 2009 took place on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the NASA Ames Research Center. This website is an archive of the event; please read on!

Excited about Moonfest and looking to get more involved? We are looking for volunteers to help make this a fun and successful event. If you are interested in volunteering, we need volunteers to fill these two shifts:
11:00 AM - 3:00 PM
2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
Currently, volunteers will be needed in the following student activities area:
- LCROSS Coloring Contest
- Moon Puzzles
- Constellations
- Moon Pie
- Space Quiz
- Lunar Quiz
- Lunar Obstacle Course
- How Big, How Far (Explore the scale and size of the Earth-Moon system)
Other volunteer areas include:
- NASA Ames Visitor Center
- Run the slide projector for the various speakers
- Wine Tasting Booth (Adult volunteers only)
- Assist with LCROSS partner exhibits
- Information Booth
With some of these activities, certain skills are required to make the event fun for the public and for yourself. Please let us know if you consider yourself a highly outgoing individual and if you have some astronomy knowledge.
