Moonfest 2009 took place on Sunday, July 19, 2009 at the NASA Ames Research Center. This website is an archive of the event; please read on!
Part of the Moonfest experience will be exploring outdoor exhibits and enjoying great Moon-themed music. We will have performances by the following artists:
The Myc, featuring Torman Jahi
The Myc is a community organization based out of San Rafael whose mission is "to provide an inspiring space created by youth and adults, supporting the development of young people’s talents, potential, and leadership skills through the arts, technology, and community service." Torman Jahi, an international Hip Hop artist, is Special Events Coordinator for The Myc and creates unique Hip Hop, such as "Going Green," about the present day green movement.
LCROSS Deputy Project Manager
John Marmie is the Deputy Project Manager for the Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) mission at NASA’s Ames Research Center. He created a song dedicated to the mission, entitled "Water on the Moon". View it here:

Ames Jazz Band
Listen to the smooth sounds of the Ames Jazz Band, composed of a diverse group of employees from NASA Ames Research Center. Come enjoy this live performance!
